Col. Jacquelyn Barcomb, the 201st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade Commander, addressed the Military Intelligence Corps Association (MICA) awardees during the MICA awards ceremony, May 23. Fifteen Soldiers and two civilians with Military Intelligence Corps Association awards to include the Golden Rose and the Knowlton award to recognize their outstanding achievements within the military intelligence community.
“Military Intelligence stands as the lifeblood of any successful military operation,” said Lt. Gen. Xavier T. Brunson, the commanding general of America’s First Corps and guest speaker for the MICA awards ceremony. “It is the bedrock upon which our strategic, operational, and tactical decisions are built.”
