1-134th Cavalry Squadron conducts Spur Ride in South Korea

A Spur Master uses a bullhorn to ensuring the Soldiers are properly motivated during the 1-134th Cavalry Squadron’s Spur Ride as part of their annual training, Operation Kouma, on June 17, 2019, at the Rodriguez Life Fire Complex, in South Korea.

The Nebraska Army National Guard's 1-134th Cavalry Squadron is conducting 27 days of training in South Korea to practice their skills in mortars, sniper rifles, convoy operations and squad lanes. The training that these roughly 300 Soldiers will receive is vital to the Squadron’s overall readiness. The last time the Squadron conducted overseas training was 2013 in Germany.
