A U.S. Navy Sailor aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA-6), holds a line leading to the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Yukon (T-AO 202) during a replenishment at sea, in the Coral Sea, July 18, 2023. A RAS provides all service members aboard with food, fuel, supplies, and mail to sustain maritime operations between the USS America and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
