An M-31 Marine Corps Expeditionary Arresting Gear System is placed on Tinian’s West Field Dec. 2 during Exercise Forager Fury 2012. The trailer is designed to allow aircraft to perform arrested landings. During FF12, the MCEAGS will land F/A-18 Hornet aircraft at a rate of one every 3-5 minutes. The M-31 was installed by Expeditionary Airfield System Technicians with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
