Raymond Voytek, from West Haven, Connecticut, a Soldier with 7th Infantry Division, I Corps competing in the U.S. Army Forces Command Best Squad Competition prepares to lead his squad onto a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter during cold and hot load training, Aug. 13, 2023, on Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Cold load training allows Soldiers to enter and exit a helicopter while it is not in operation, while hot load training allows Soldiers to enter and exit the helicopter during a live-run. Squads consist of a squad leader, team leader, and three junior enlisted Soldiers who are all highly trained and competent Soldiers, who stand out among their peers for their knowledge and expertise when conducting tactical, Army maneuvers and skills.
