Soldiers competing in the U.S. Army Forces Command Best Squad Competition 2023 walk to the training area to begin their medical simulation, Aug. 15, 2023, on Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The medical simulation, which took place at the Fort Campbell Medical Simulation Training Center, assessed competitors on battlefield trauma and critical care techniques. The competition tests the squad’s proficiency in their warrior tasks and battle drills and identifies the most cohesive, highly trained, disciplined, and fit team that is ready to fight and win – while demonstrating a commitment to the Army Values (leadership, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, personnel courage) and Warrior Ethos.
