U.S. Army combat engineers from B Company, 23rd Brigade Engineer Battalion, 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division build charges with C4 plastic explosives in preparation to conduct demolition of hazardous trees in a training area near Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, August 22, 2023. Following wildfires in the area, the forestry department deemed some trees too hazardous to fell using conventional axes or chainsaws due to extensive fire damage.
