The 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group, or WEG, is receiving a newly constructed large boat facility at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, as part of the rebuild. The WEG large boat facility supports the mission-critical recovery of subscale aerial targets launched over the Gulf of Mexico. The 7,032 square-foot large boat facility will have more space, a large mechanical crane hoist for maintenance and repairs, additional fuel pumps, concrete docks, controlled storage to protect supplies, additional workstations, a conference room and upgraded safety and security features.
