The 53rd Weapons Evaluation Group, or WEG will also receive a new small boat facility at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The 4,200 square-foot facility is an additional location for the WEG’s critical mission to recover subscale aerial targets launched over the Gulf of Mexico. The new facility provides upgraded equipment including an indoor hoist and more space for boat maintenance and repairs. The project included impact-resistant windows and a curved roof to increase resiliency against potential future natural disasters. The WEG Small boat facility supports the mission-critical recovery of subscale aerial targets launched over the Gulf of Mexico.
