Lance Corporal Brandon Costello, a light armored vehicle crewman serving with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, says goodbye to his fellow Marines on bikes after a motorcycle safety and awareness rally here, Dec. 18, 2012. The purpose of the rally was to ensure Marines are getting the most up-to-date information regarding motorcycle safety and ensures they understand the risks associated with riding motorcycles. “This training gave me a new outlook on riding, it made me aware that my friends and family members rely on me to make the right decisions,” said Costello, a 21-year-old native of Winchester, Va. “If I get hurt, or worse, they are affected by it as much as I am.” (Official U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
