Jason Pridmore, a retired professional motorcyclist, and Staff Sgt. Marques Jackson, the president of the motorcycle safety program serving with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, talk about the importance of motorcycle safety and proper gear after a safety and awareness rally here, Dec. 18, 2012. Jackson, a 30-year-old native of Slidell, La., said when riding a motorcycle, Marines should apply their leadership traits of dependability and sound judgment because they could help them make the right decisions. The purposes of the rally was to ensure Marines are getting the most up-to-date information regarding motorcycle safety, and ensure they understand the risks associated with riding motorcycles.
