Sonia Flowers is a woman-owned agricultural company in Tabarka that cultivates edible flowers, the first of their kind in the Middle East and North Africa. It sells these flowers to hotels, bakeries, and restaurants, which use them as culinary decorations or salad garnishes. USAID through its Tunisia JOBS Activity is helping the company meet soaring demand for its products and build a sustainable brand, leading to 25 new jobs and a 100% sales jump by May 2023. After participating in a popular culinary festival, Sonia Flowers received a flood of orders from hotels and online shops. To keep up with the requests, USAID helped train Sonia Flowers’ staff in better cultivation, packaging, and storage techniques. To take its growth to the next level, JOBS also worked with the company to design a creative brand label and marketing strategy.
