YOKOSUKA, Japan (August 22, 2023) – Hospital Corpsman second class (HM2) Chayla Coleman, Yokosuka Mental Health Clinic Manager at Navy Medical Readiness Training Command (NMRTC), attends "a Walk to Remember," marking National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The trek concluded at Kosano Park, where participants stood in contemplative silence, reinforcing the Navy's commitment to combatting the silent epidemic of suicide. For more than 75 years, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
