Lt. Malia Hindle presents a card signed by service members stationed at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay to Charlotte Bart, one of the first females integrated into the Coast Guard, at her 100th birthday party on Sept. 30, 2023, in Haddon Township, New Jersey. Ms. Bart served as a member of SPAR, a program that allowed women to serve at stations in the United States, which provided the opportunity for men to join ranks overseas during World War II.
