U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Scott Hattok, 378th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron (ECES), acts as narrator during a change of command ceremony for the 378th ECES at Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oct. 5, 2023. During the ceremony, Lt. Col. Joseph Wierenga relinquished command of the 378th ECES to Lt. Col. Gareth Fleischer. The tradition of change of command ceremonies are to allow service members to witness their new leader assume the responsibility and trust associated with the position of commander.
