U.S. Airmen from the 378th Air Expeditionary Wing stand at attention while the honor guard presents the colors during a change of command ceremony for the 378th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron (ECES) at Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oct. 5, 2023. During the ceremony, Lt. Col. Joseph Wierenga relinquished command of the 378th ECES to Lt. Col. Gareth Fleischer. The tradition of change of command ceremonies are to allow service members to witness their new leader assume the responsibility and trust associated with the position of commander.
