The U.S. Army Sustainment Command, headquartered at Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois, is employing a newly developed and unique hiring strategy called Acquiring Skilled, Sustainable, Empowered Talent, or ASSET. It is a proactive rather than reactive hiring effort, bringing on entry level new employees and training them so they can readily step in when attrition takes place.
