    231031-N-SY303-1121 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 31, 2023) Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Adam Armstrong, a native of Littlefield, Texas, assigned to the “Golden Dragons” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 192, installs a mid-barrel clamp on a 20mm gun in the hangar bay aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson, flagship of Carrier Strike Group ONE, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
