231104-N-SY303-1088 PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 4, 2023) Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class Donald Tuckwood, a native of West Palm Beach, Florida assigned to the “Golden Dragons” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 192, conducts a radar package inspection on an F/A-18E Super Hornet in the hangar bay aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson, flagship of Carrier Strike Group ONE, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
