231102-N-SY303-1075 PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 2, 2023) Aviation Electronics Technician Airman Timarius Thomas Gray, front, a native of Valdosta, Georgia, and Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class Oliver Thompson, a native of Stamford, Connecticut, both assigned to the “Gauntlets” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 136, attach electronic fuse connectors in an EA-18G Growler in the hangar bay aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). Vinson, flagship of Carrier Strike Group ONE, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet Area of operations. U.S. 7th Fleet is the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
