Parachute packer Army Pvt. David Fosbinder from the 4th Quartermaster Detachment points to rigger checks for each step required to pack parachutes on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Jan. 15. He ensures each step is precise, so the parachutes he packs are not faulty. Every 12 years, parachutes are no longer serviceable, and are replaced with up-to-date materials. Fosbinder’s hometown is Nashville, Tenn.
