Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro delivers remarks at the Keel Plate Unveiling ceremony for the future Arleigh Burke Class Flight III destroyer USS J. William Middendorf (DDG 138). J. William Middendorf II, who served as the former U.S. Ambassador to The Netherlands and the 62nd Secretary of the Navy, is the namesake. The Naval War College hosted the ceremony in Newport, RI., Dec. 11, 2023.
