On May 16, 2023, water levels at Perry Lake were rising and the osprey nest was at risk of becoming submerged. Jeff Clouser, game warden with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, contacted Operation Wildlife to temporarily house the osprey eggs while the nest was relocated to a safer location. The osprey eggs can be seen prior to their temporary relocation to Operation Wildlife. | Photo by Jeff Clouser, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
