Meet Dalal Amer, a talented 26-year-old artist from Tal Uskof. Forced to halt her studies during the ISIS occupation, Dalal decided to channel her creativity into the world of nail care. Her journey took a transformative turn in 2021 when she participated in a specialized training program supported by Shared Future, a USAID initiative aimed at empowering young individuals to start businesses and build trust among diverse communities in conflict-affected regions.
Through this program, Dalal developed her business skills, focusing on marketing and budgeting techniques. With a $1,500 grant from USAID, she strategically invested in her business, enhancing its quality and appeal. Today, her thriving nail care enterprise is a testament to her determination and the opportunities that the program unlocked. Dalal's vision expands further as she dreams of establishing a beauty center in Tal Uskof, specializing in nail and hair care.
