The 1st Lt. James Gregory Miller Armory is memorialized during a July 13, 2023, ceremony in Newark, Ohio. Miller, a native of Newark, enlisted in the Ohio National Guard at the armory in 1964 and was later killed in action in Vietnam while serving on active duty. The ceremony also marked the completion of $1.73 million in improvements to the nearly 70-year-old facility.
