240116-N-VM650-1051 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Jan. 16, 2024) Ensign Andrew Forrest, from New Market, Maryland, plots navigational points on the bridge of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) during a trilateral exercise, Jan. 16. The exercise allowed maritime forces from Japan, Republic of Korea, and U.S. to train together to enhance coordination on maritime domain awareness and other shared security interests. Sterett, assigned to Carrier Strike Group ONE, is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
