    U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. David G. Bellon, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South, greets Ambassador Bonnie D. Jenkins, Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, upon her arrival to the Marine Corps Support Facility, New Orleans, Louisiana, Jan. 22, 2024. Jenkins visited MARFORSOUTH and MARFORRES to discuss continued partnership in advancing U.S. foreign policy goals. MARFORSOUTH works closely with the U.S. Department of State to advance U.S. national security interests, prepare for and respond to emerging threats, and ensure the strategic alignment of our U.S. military and diplomatic efforts in Central and South America and the Caribbean.
