U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Todd R. Wasmund, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) commanding general, presents Mrs. Carmen Chavez, a hearing technician assigned to U.S. Army Health Clinic Vicenza, with a SETAF-AF coin at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, Feb. 2nd, 2024. Chavez was chosen by her peers as one of the most deserving of a SETAF-AF coin in the Soldier Medical Readiness Clinic as Wasmund showed his appreciation for the members of U.S. Army Health Clinic Vicenza during the U.S. Army Nursing Corps’ 123rd birthday celebration held at the clinic. SETAF-AF provides U.S. Africa Command and U.S. Army Europe & Africa a dedicated headquarters to synchronize U.S. Army activities in Africa and scalable crisis response options in Africa and Europe.
