KEKAHA, Hawai‘i (Feb. 5, 2024) Thomas Nizo, deputy public works officer and cultural protocol officer for Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF), Barking Sands, gives a challenge coin to Kauai Mayor Derek Kawakami during an installation tour on PMRF, Kekaha, Hawaii. During the tour, members of PMRF showed the visitors multiple locations on the installation and talked about PMRF’s cultural, environmental and community impact on Kauai. PMRF is the world's largest instrumented multi-domain range, capable of supporting surface, subsurface, air, and space operations simultaneously.
