Norwegian Army Col. MayBrith Valen-odle, Commander of Logistics Regiment, uses scissors to cut the bowtie off the entrance doors to the expanded portion of the base gym at Bardufoss, Norway, Feb. 27, 2024. The re-opening ceremony for the gym comes with new equipment and an enhanced facility for allies and partners to use. The ability to host forces is a part of NATO agreement to stay functional and enable following forces to continue training for the NATO exercise Nordic Response 24. Nordic Response is a Norwegian national readiness and defense exercise designed to enhance military capabilities and allied cooperation in high-intensity warfighting in a challenging arctic environment.
