Norwegian Army Lt. Col Andreas Braset, chief chaplain with Norwegian Joint Headquarters (left) and U.S. Navy Capt. Robert Moore, force chaplain with II Marine Expeditionary Force provide religious service together prior to the start of exercise Nordic Response 24 at Bardufoss, Norway, Feb. 29, 2024. Service members from Norway, Germany, Finland, Great Britain and the United States attended the religious service provided by chaplains from multiple NATO nations. The chaplains gathered to become acquainted with each other and to pray for the safety of those participating in Nordic Response 24. Exercise Nordic Response 24 is a Norwegian national readiness and defense exercise designed to enhance military capabilities and allied cooperation in a challenging arctic environment. This exercise will test military activities ranging from the reception of allied and partner reinforcements and command and control interoperability to combined joint operations, maritime prepositioning force logistics, integration with NATO militaries, and reacting against an adversary force during a dynamic training environment.
