Marie DeMartine, resident of the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Paramus, New Jersey, is one of the 10 residents at the Home who recently marked their 100th, and in one case, 105th birthday, Feb. 29, 2024. During World War II, DeMartine worked for Ryan Aeronautical in California building airplanes for the war effort. The four men and six women each received a signed letter and coin from Maj. Gen. Lisa J. Hou, D.O., The Adjutant General of New Jersey, as well as certificates of commendation from Bergen County and the Bergen County Board of Commissioners.
