U.S. Marine Corps explosive ordnance disposal technicians with EOD Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force service members with the Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade push a combat rubber raiding craft off-shore during Beach Crab 24 at Kin Blue Beach Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 28, 2024. Beach Crab 24 is a bilateral exercise between EOD technicians and service members with 3rd MLG, U.S. Navy EOD Group One, JGSDF ARDB, and Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. The exercise continued developing tactics, techniques, and procedures to locate, mark, and neutralize underwater and surface explosive hazards with a focus on detect-to-engage within maritime environments from sea, through littoral transition points, and onward from a beach landing site.
