A trainee from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, asks a question to Command Sgt. Maj. Dave Silva, the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives (CBRNE) Command, senior enlisted advisor, during Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) Explosive Ordnance Disposal level 3 course at the Regional Explosive Hazards Training Center of Ministry of Defense of Republic of Tajikistan, on Feb. 20, 2024. The course is a part of the Department of Defense’s HMA program which assists partnered nations affected by landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the hazardous effects of unexploded ordnance. U.S. Army Central provided training assistance to enhance regional capacity for humanitarian demining, land-based and underwater explosive ordnance disposal and physical security throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
