Trainees provide a scenario brief on the actions and intended outcomes of the unexploded ordnance during the Humanitarian Mine Action Explosive Ordnance Disposal level 3 course at the demolition range in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on Feb. 21, 2024. The course is a part of the Department of Defense’s HMA program which assists partnered nations affected by landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the hazardous effects of unexploded ordnance. U.S. Army Central provided training assistance to enhance regional capacity for humanitarian demining, land-based and underwater explosive ordnance disposal and physical security throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
