Command Sgt. Maj. Dave Silva, the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives (CBRNE) Command, senior enlisted advisor, addresses delegate officials and Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) trainees during the HMA Explosive Ordnance Disposal level 3 course graduation at the National Museum of Tajikistan in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on Feb. 23, 2024. The course is a part of the Department of Defense’s HMA program which assists partnered nations affected by landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the hazardous effects of unexploded ordnance. U.S. Army Central provided training assistance to enhance regional capacity for humanitarian demining, land-based and underwater explosive ordnance disposal and physical security throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
