U.S. Special Operations Command Korea personnel board in U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook assigned to
2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry ROK/U.S. Combined Division prior to conducting a regular and combined Airborne training at Camp Humphreys, Korea, April 30, 2024. The training involved more than 100 U.S and ROK personnel and coincided with the 35th anniversary commemoration of the establishment of SOCKOR as a theater special operations command. The ROK and U.S have maintained a consistent special operations relationship since the outbreak of the Korean war in 1950 and have maintained a credible deterrence posture since the signing of the Armistice in 1953.
