A Soldier assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command Korea conducts a static jump from U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook assigned to 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry ROK/U.S. Combined Division at a regular and combined Airborne training at Camp Humphreys, Korea, April 30, 2024. The training coincided with the 35th anniversary commemoration of the establishment of SOCKOR as a theater special operations command. The ROK and U.S have maintained a consistent special operations relationship since the outbreak of the Korean war in 1950 and have maintained a credible deterrence posture since the signing of the Armistice in 1953.
