    100th Air Refueling Wing

Tech. Sgt. Leo Riley, 100th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, steadies a plumb-bob on a KC-135 Stratotanker in preparation for lifting the aircraft on hydraulic tripod jacks Feb. 5, 2013. The plumb-bob is a weight that hangs freely over a ruler inside the aircraft and allows maintainers to keep the plane perfectly level while hoisting it on the jacks. Jacks enable the maintainers to conduct tests involving raising and lowering the aircraft's landing gear. Airmen from RAF Mildenhall, England, deployed to southwest Europe in January to support French operations in Mali. Riley is from Niagara Falls, N.Y. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Austin M.
