    Old bushing and gudgeon pinned removed from the Black Rock Lock, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, by a team from the Soo Locks in Sault. Ste. Marie, Michigan, who are replacing two of the pins in the gates of the lock, Buffalo, New York, April 15, 2024. The pins sit in the hinge of the lock gates, facilitating the opening and closing, and needed replaced after a routine inspection found they were faulty and are replaced by the Soo Locks team who brought expertise and all necessary tools to do the work over two weeks.
