Derek Alcorn, a signal support system specialist assigned to Joint Modernized Command located at Fort Bliss, Texas, uses his compass to ensure his squad is heading in the right direction during the JMC land navigation course training event held at Fort Bliss, Texas, May 9, 2024. The JMC squad members participated in an intensive week-long training program facilitated by the command to hone their skills in preparation for them to compete in the Army Futures Command Best Squad Competition scheduled to take place at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., from June 2-7, 2024.
