SKAGEN, Denmark (June 14, 2024) Jorgen Vestergaard, a Danish pilot with DanPilot, speaks with lieutenant junior grade Madysen Jaso, the officer of the deck, in the pilot house of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) as the ship prepares to depart Skagen, Denmark, June 14, 2024. Wasp is conducting operations in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations as the flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC).
