    Dr. Rory Cooper, the founding director and Veterans Affairs senior research career scientist of the Human Engineering Research Laboratories, a Veterans Affairs Research and Development Center of Excellence in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh, explains the lab’s functions and projects that the Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare Systems undertakes. Division leaders toured the facility to learn about innovations that improve quality of life for wounded warriors. The tour is part of the 28th Infantry Division Innovation Program which seeks the input of Soldiers to identify areas of improvement at all levels in products, processes, and procedures.
