The 'Deathstar Challenge' was created by the Signal Intelligence and Sustainment Company (SISCO) to promote camaraderie within the battalion and increase overall physical fitness amongst III Armored Corps soldiers. The challenge consisted of eight events: pull-ups, litter carries, tire flips, deadlifts, relay runs, wheelbarrow carries, a modified sprint-drag-carry, and fireman carries.
