A soldier with the Mauritanian Army conducts security operations during a series of tactical exercises as part of a four-week training event in Nouakchott, Mauritania, Aug. 21, 2024. Running from July 24 - Aug. 22, 2024, the training brings together Mauritanian Army soldiers, U.S. Army advisors from the 2nd Security Forces Assistance Brigade, and U.S. Army Civil Affairs soldiers from Southern European Task Force - Africa (SETAF-AF) for the first time to conduct a variety of training including combat casualty care, maneuver tactics, techniques, and procedures, maintenance operations, and large-scale combat operations planning.
