Ansbach, Germany (5 September 2024) U.S. Army Garrison (USAG) Ansbach in cooperation with 12th Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) hosted over 200 German children from several surrounding communities from Ansbach and Illesheim area for a kid’s summer fun program during the month of August.
The volunteer Soldiers got paired with groups of children to make bowling teams, the teams then compete against each other at the garrison bowling alley. After the friendly bowling competition, the winners with the highest score of each group received a pack of Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) to celebrate their success. Handing out MREs is a good way to let the children explore and learn what the Soldiers have available during their missions.
USAG Ansbach is a U.S. Army Power Projection Platform consisting of aviation, engineering, and artillery assets spread across nine kasernes in the heart of Middle Franconia, Germany.
