Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) interns Ryan Cheriathundam (left) and Annie Zhao (right) at NSWC Carderock Division work in teams on the Seaworthy STEM™ activity “Save a Sailor” as part of their two-day orientation in West Bethesda, Md., June 17-18, 2024. Over the course of two days, interns attended a variety of trainings, including a welcome message and Command Overview presentation from senior leaders at Carderock. They also participated in team building events structured from one of the Division’s Seaworthy STEM™ activities. Carderock fosters a fun, one-of-a-kind work atmosphere where brilliant minds can flourish and push the limits of the possible. Carderock also houses some of the nation's most advanced facilities for research, development, testing, and evaluation. These resources, spread across its headquarters and seven detachments, give the Navy a clear edge in creating the next generation of surface ships and submarines. (Navy Photo by Kristin Behrle)
