The community has taken an active role in the five ongoing engineering civic assistance projects during exercise Cobra Gold 2013 by providing food and limited manual labor. Cobra Gold, in its 32nd iteration, is a multinational exercise that promotes regional prosperity, security and cooperation among partner militaries. Gibson and Virakpanyou are construction engineers with the Washington National Guard’s 176th Engineer Company (Vertical).
