ATLANTIC OCEAN (SEP. 23, 2024) - Damage Controlman Fireman Ignacio Gonzalez, from San Francisco, assigned to engineering department of the world's largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), prepares a new diesel fuel filter for installation on an Emergency Breathing Air Compressor (EBACS) machine in the hangar bay, Sep. 23, 2024. Gerald R. Ford is the flagship of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group. The aircraft carrier is underway in the Atlantic Ocean to further develop core unit capabilities.
