U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Alejandro Palos, an aviation electronics technician with Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment Iwakuni and a native of Texas, is handed the warrant for his Impact Iwakuni award by U.S. Marine Corps Col. Richard Rusnok, the commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni and a native of Pennsylvania, on MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, Sept. 19, 2024. The Impact Iwakuni award is presented monthly to recipients that make a positive impact on the community, and AT2 Palos won the award for over 750 hours of volunteer service and multiple other efforts.
